Dogbotic

Dogbotic is a collective interested in unconventional sounds and their potential creative applications. We work as a commercial audio studio—producing music, sound, and audio tech for all sorts of clients—and as a research and education outfit—teaching workshops on a variety of niche artistic topics.
The laboratory serves to teach unconventional art classes as a means to promote creativity, discourage mindless consumerism, and engage in conversations about how to use our art to make the world more equitable. As an organization, Dogbotic hopes to be a space free of judgement that fosters genuine collaboration and curiosity and an appreciation for the weird and wonderful.
I help Dogbotic market online DIY electronics workshops through community engagement, social media, and customer-centered promotions.
I developed the concept for the Blogbotic Spotlight, a series of interviews that aims to uncover how do-it-yourself (DIY) electronics and new media technologies interweave in artistic practice. Using my design research interview and synthesis skills, I currently interview and write all the blog articles. I believe by speaking with prior Dogbotic participants about what it means to be an artist, struggle with learning and making on one’s own, and overcoming those internal barriers will motivate others to try a workshop.
